ACOUSTIC LOUVER FOR CHILLER
Chillers and cooling towers emit noise that is beyond the permissible limit. For sound control a chiller
needs to be placed inside an enclosure. An outdoor air cooled chiller, rooftop chiller or cooling tower
involves a lot of water causing high humidity. For this reason chiller acoustic enclosures
need to have plenty of air vents for air circulation and to ensure that the humidity level is kept in check.
The air vents need to be acoustically treated. Acoustic louvers that are specially designed
with sound bafflers which allows a free flow of air but contains the noise within the enclosure is the
solution we provide for Chillers.
The enclosures for chillers are designed with aero dynamic acoustic louvers. The lips of the louvers have splitters which ensure that the sound emitted through the vents is minimal. These enclosures for chillers are specially designed with acoustic louvers that help to release the excessive humidity and are readily available with us. Acoustic louvers for chillers are also available on panels that can be used for acoustic treatment of the chiller.Envirotech can make customised solution for chillers as per the client’s requirement and specifications.

Our acoustic screens and enclosures solve a wide range of environmental noise pollution problems emanating from mechanical plant and systems including:
- Acoustic louvers for Compressors Whether it is a gas compressor or an air compressor it generates a lot of noise and need to be kept in an enclosure with acoustic treatment. The acoustic enclosure for compressor is specially designed for the unit with padded walls to absorb the sound and reverberation. The compressor enclosure needs sufficient air vents. These vents have acoustic louvers that are specially designed for compressors with insulation and sound bafflers, to prevent the escape of noise. The acoustic louvers for compressors have an aerodynamic design to minimise the pressure drop.
- Acoustic louvers for Generators enclosures Generator rooms need ventilation and plenty of airflow. The high level of noise needs to be contained and this is done with an acoustic enclosure for generator. The generator enclosure needs special exhaust vents which are outfitted with an axial flow fan. The air ducts are insulated and outfitted with a splitter and sound accumulators so as to prevent sound to escape. The exhaust outlets are also designed with a hood to prevent the entrance of rain water. The air vents are usually along the side panels and acoustic enclosure for maximum ventilation.
- Acoustic louvers for Motors Motors used for industrial use need acoustic enclosures that are designed to address the acoustic requirements. Ventilation is required to prevent the unit from overheating and to maintain a relative temperature inside the enclosure. The acoustic enclosures for motors are designed with air vents or louvers on the side panels. These air vents are treated to maintain acoustic integrity. Acoustic louvers are designed to provide the perfect solution for motors. They provide the required sound accentuation and noise control to maintain the permissible level for the environment.
- Acoustic louvers for Pumps In most cases pumps when placed in an enclosure generate a lot of humidity. The acoustic enclosure that houses the pump can be designed with acoustic louvers in the side panels to provide free airflow and circulation and prevent the build-up of humidity in the acoustic enclosure for pumps.
- Acoustic louvers for roof top plant rooms Acoustic solutions for roof top plant rooms are required because the noise level of the plant resonates to surrounding areas and affects the environment. As per industrial regulations the level on sound emission needs to be controlled. This is done using an acoustic enclosure or acoustic louver panels. There are certain adherences to the enclosure which includes proper ventilation and airflow within the enclosure to ensure optimal performance of the plant.
The acoustic louver blade dimensions including its depth are defined by the noise control level requirement and the client’s specifications. The material used for the acoustic louvers depends on the area of application.
The fixed blade acoustic louvers provide maximum sound accentuation. The acoustic performance level depends on the design of the blade. The louver blades can be made of steel, aluminium or other material. They can be anodised for weather protection and painted or coated to improve the aesthetic appearance.
Envirotech provides a number of acoustic louvers designs that can be customised according to the level of noise control required for the motor. The dual section louver bladewith insulation is a great option for motors and provides high level of sound absorption.
We make special acoustic louvers for pumps that provide high quality of sound absorption and good ventilation and weather control. The type of blade used for the acoustic louvers depends on the requirement. The acoustic louvers with airfoil blades have the least air resistance. It is well suited for applications that are sensitive to pressure drop. The acoustic louvers are usually made of steel or aluminium and galvanised for durability and protection against corrosion.
The acoustic louvers allow silenced airflow which can be done using acoustic grade fibre glass. The lips of the air vent blades are shaped as splitters; this provides protection against the weather including rain. A plant enclosure generally uses ESPL acoustic louvers which are designed with sound bafflers. It allows a free airflow with reduced radiation. We provide customised acoustic solutions according to the client’s requirements.
