ACOUSTIC WINDOWS
Residential homes located near industrial areas or other noisy areas like close to the railway tracks, near metro lines or in close proximity of the airport need to take appropriate measure to limit the entrance of noise into the residence. To a large extent sound enters a house from the windows as the normal glass and the gaps between the window and its frame is very poor at providing sound reduction facility.
The acoustic window is made of a laminated safety glass which is mounted on metal frames. These frames can be made of steel or aluminium and are strong and durable. They are fitted in a way so as to provide total acoustic seal. The windows can be easily installed in the IAC modular structures or even in conventional buildings. The windows provide a noise reduction (NIC) of 30 dB(A) to 90dB(A) and a STC rating from 35 to 80. These windows are laboratory tested for their acoustic performance and are available in any shape or size to fit any kind of wall thickness. The windows can be installed in any kind of construction including drywalls, concrete, masonry and even stud partitions.
