Noise mapping is done through a computerised software where by a coloured map shows the areas with
different noise levels using contours. This data is accumulated using the input from different areas such
as surrounding traffic and other noise sources such as industrial noise. In the noise map one can see the
different areas with the noise level being differentiated by colour, the darker the colour the more noise.
Computerised Noise mapping is a cheaper option to noise measurement and is a preferred option too. All the different noise elements can be combined into a single diagram in the computerised noise mapping.
