NOISE SURVEY
Noise surveys are usually conducted during the elementary stages of planning a new construction irrespective of whether it is commercial or residential. The noise survey is conducted to determine exactly how much noise exposure the proposed site will have. This is done under the Planning Policy guidance.
The permissible noise level under the CPCB Norms is as follows:
Industrial: During the day less than 75 dB(A) and at night it should be below 70 dB(A)
Commercial: Noise level during the day hours should be under 60 dB(A) and under 55 dB(A) at night
Residential: Noise level should be below 40 dB(A) at any given time.
